Chad Lavimoniere is a potter based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY.
Chad came back to pottery in adulthood, as a creative outlet after the death of his newborn daughter. His work is typified by dramatic brushed slip decoration on quiet, often unglazed clay surfaces; he seeks to make beautiful objects that bear indelible witness to an encounter. He specializes in porcelain and stoneware urns, but also makes functional pottery items like bowls, plates, coffee drippers, mugs and vases.
